Daydream Video Project (DA1)

For my daydream video, I focused on using only found clip art to call attention to the digital nature of the work. The found clips and images remind me of powerpoint presentations, or word art. These stock images are humorous to me because they have an inherent "cheesy" feeling to them, which I think can add some interesting elements. For this project, I combined these silly stock images with a funny, lighthearted storyline about fridge objects coming to life. The animation was intended to be silly, and to give the viewer a look into the creative process, by using digital artifacts, in this case stock photos, which the viewer would connect with. The animated stock photos take on a new life and create strange, dynamic characters. This project also uses remix and play, by taking pre-existing material and combining it into something new.
